ALAN JACOBS YOUNG ARCHAEOLOGIST OF THE YEAR AWARD

This award has been created in memory of Alan Jacobs, who sadly died in 2012. Alan's family suggested the Award as a way of remembering Alan's enthusiasm for archaeology and his inspiring work with young people and his great support for WYAC when he was working in Worcestershire.

This year's entries have been of a very high standard and we are pleased to announce that the winner of the Alan Jacobs Young Archaeologist of the Year Award, 2013 is . . . .

RAY HAAGENSEN

. . . . for his exceptional work on the Old Pumphouse, Spring Farm. Ray went the extra mile with some really detailed research, fieldwork and by producing a fantastic film which you can view here on YouTube; http://youtu.be/_gWMHLbFLmo

The other prize winners will be included on this page shortly.
