Oral History

We have been delighted at the response from local people, who have come forward to share their memories of life in Northwick and Bevere. Julia Letts, Oral History consultant for the project, has been interviewing residents in order to record their memories of life in the area during the 20th century. She has also worked with the Worcestershire Young Archaeologists' Club to edit the sound recordings and some of the resulting material is now available via the BBC Hereford and Worcester website;

Now that the project is complete a selection of transcriptions from the Oral History interviews is now available from our Reports page. Also available is the final published booklet - 'Northwick and Bevere by Residents Past and Present' - a full colour publication, overflowing with photographs and memories from local people.

If you have memories of life in Northwick and Bevere that you would like to share with us, or any photographs or other information that you think would be of interest we would love to hear from you!
